“Matt and I want to sincerely thank you of you for the impeccable service and delicious food you provided for our wedding reception.  Everything was just perfect!  All of our family and friends had a blast and talked about how great everything was.  We understand all the hard work that goes into a wedding reception, and we thank all of you for giving us the best reception we could ever ask for!  Please pass a special thanks onto Captain Dave for escorting us on the Bahama Mama – our wedding entrance was unique and epic thanks to him!  Also, we would like to thank Diane for making us our very own oyster knife – such a beautiful and thoughtful gesture!  Bubba – thanks for making an appearance and for the dance!  We appreciate all of you for truly making our wedding reception one that we will never forget!  See you next summer.”

“I had one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever eaten.  Fresh triggerfish, lightly blackened and served over garlicky-buttery stone ground grits.  Topped with bacon, green onions and subtle mustard sauce!  Fish was perfectly cooked and totally scrumptious!  Desserts are only so-so, but the entrees are fantastic, as is the service.”

“Classy little joint!  Delicious seafood at our table, including the grouper special, grilled shrimp and the mussels.  Wasn’t pretentious, and it didn’t matter that we came from the golf course. The bacon wrapped horseradish shrimp are fantastic!  the entrees were all winners, but the sides were just okay.   Service was prompt, courteous, thorough and a little fun.  Nothing was forgotten, and we were a priority for our server.  Would go back without hesitation!  Haven’t tried Bubba’s Love Shak next door, but it might be good for something low key.”

“I attended a brunch wedding reception here.  Gorgeous place.  Fantastic food  I had seconds of everything.  Blueberry fench toast, Shrimp & gravy over cheesy grits, spciy sausage, broccoli & mushroom quiche, and a beautiful display of fresh fruit..  The service was attentive and the view is great.  I’m not sure what they’re like on an average day, but based on this experience, I’d make Capt. Dave’s a must on my next visit to the area.”

“This is probably my favorite place to eat in Murrells Inlet,  I love sitting near the windows and watching the peacocks and goats on the island outside.  They have a piano player who comes around to the tables and takes requests.  It’s a nice touch.”

“Great food and wonderful location right on the Inlet.  Food is reasonably priced. Hush puppies are excellent and the service was very good.  Warm atmosphere – always welcomed warmly when we walk in the door.  A great place to visit on a weekend night after a leisurely stroll on the Marsh Walk.”

“After a very busy week of moving my sister-in-law from Reston, VA to Conway, SC, all we wanted was a soothing evening.  Dave’s was the magic cure to ease away the stress.  The food was delicious (Crusted Grouper and the Trio) especially the shrimp Dijon sauce.  Please send me the recipe.  Well, it doesn’t hurt to ask”

“Excellent service, scenery, and food are to be had here.  I enjoyed the blackened grouper that was cooked perfect!  My wife had fried shrimp that was excellent.  The children has crab cakes and grilled shrimp with nothing to complain about.  Service was very friendly and fast.  Has a great view of the Inlet and a very nice boardwalk to walk around before and after your meal.”
